Solidarism - what is it?

Imagine if a person made a groundbreaking discovery that would fundamentally change the world for us. Famines would be a thing of the past in one fell swoop. People would suddenly be able to develop freely and prosperity would be a matter of course for everyone. What if, however, this genius lacked the means to realize his idea at the time? To generate the necessary attention? His idea would die with him.

This game is about exactly such an idea. How many such important and valuable discoveries have sunk over the years is not certain. But what is certain, unfortunately, is that such situations had already occurred several times.

The happy ending can be anticipated at this point: If the wonderful idea of this game - the idea of Rudolf Diesel, the WIRKRAFT of solidarism - can be realized, all the other important and valuable first steps of our world will finally have a realistic chance to take root. At last, humanity could move economically and collectively to a new cultural level. Open to honest progress and with sincere prosperity for all.

This sounds exaggerated, naive and utopian. But whether it really is, you should honestly ask yourself after reading this booklet and playing the game.

The social question

Nobody has time. Time is money and money rules the world. Every day, billions of people in the world work for their right to live in an apartment, to eat and, with a little luck, to occasionally see the face of nature. Work is usually not charged according to performance, but according to time. Quality is expensive and not a matter of course - after all, avarice is horny. Those who want to climb high up the social status scale often need pointed ears, long fingers or firm elbows. Man is man's wolf, as the saying goes. Many people live from hand to mouth - although there would be enough for everyone. Such a state of affairs is actually intolerable, yet it has been endured for centuries.

Anyone who has studied topics such as health is easily reminded of images of factory farming and plant husbandry when shopping in supermarkets. Appetizing or healthy for body and mind such mostly highly processed "food" will not always be.

Anyone who has dealt with the construction of automobiles, for example, will know that most products are built to break down after a certain amount of time. This is how consumption is maintained, demand is secured and sales are guaranteed for a company. However, it's not pretty for consumers. Anyone who has dealt with areas of medicine and business will know that all that glitters is not gold. Many medicines not only have serious side effects - their efficacy is often in doubt, and rightly so. Business worth billions is transacted over heavy mahogany tables at the expense of our health. It is almost outrageous that such a condition is known and apparently accepted. Nowadays, we do not necessarily become less ill, but differently - and mostly chronically. This is how consumption is maintained, a demand is secured and turnover for a company is guaranteed. However, this is not nice for consumers.

Such a list can be continued for a very long time and is transferable to pretty much all areas. The majority of people feel stuck in a kind of hamster wheel, while a tiny percentage is so unspeakably rich that money has long ceased to be an issue. A will that is to be enforced cannot be stopped by politics, demonstrations or a democracy. No crowd stands a chance here - does it?

It's no secret that something has to change. But what should be the solution? Capitalism, communism and all other types of economic/political leadership could not stand as a rock against the perpetual waves of corruption, violence and fear. Why and how should Rudolf Diesel - the inventor of the diesel engine - have solved the so difficult "social question"?

Imagine there is corruption and no one participates....

A simple calculation

Starting a business is risky . Investors have to be convinced and even if this first hurdle is overcome - 100% security will never exist . Sponsors definitely risk their financial resources when they invest in an idea (however good) . So it is not without reason that investors or sponsors get a "say" when it comes to the direction a company wants to head .
Everyone knows that you should not bite the hand that feeds you . But when that hand belongs - as it so often does - to the long arm of the rich, it easily prevents something that is desperately needed . Change . The solution would be to be able to lift the necessary capital itself . But where to take from, if not steal?

Very simple: calculate

A single cent has little value. In fact, you can't afford anything with it. Even if you were to set aside one cent every day for a year, you would have just €3.65 after completing your duty. This tiny amount, with which one can perhaps at best invite oneself for a small coffee, is still not particularly impressive. How are you supposed to build a business from this insignificant amount? At the same time, also independently of external sponsors, provide high quality, satisfied employees and prosperity?

If we put aside one cent every day, it is a marginal amount for us that we would not even notice. In Germany, there are over 80 million people; worldwide, there are several billion people. So if we were to use 10 million people for the following calculation, that would be a very modestly chosen crowd. If each of these MitWIRkern spends even a single cent per day, that would be €36,500,000.00 in one year! That is a lot of coffee!

If you turn the words in the sentence "few people have a lot of money," you can still achieve the same goal with ease. If "many people have little money" they can gather this value and not only move mountains, but change a world. But it gets even better: this money does not even have to be invested. It is enough if it is available as a guarantee for investors. If a project actually fails, any investment can be absorbed by the constantly growing credit balance of the MitWIRker. Thus investments can be assigned with actually 100 per cent security. Founded companies contribute further to the growing credit balance. Quickly - within a few years - thousands of companies can gain a foothold and work together in a self-determined manner.

Thanks to this security, something that was a thorn in our side beforehand can be dropped. The "right of co-determination" of the investors. For the foundation of a BÜRGSCHAFTSBANK, a balance of 5 million euros is needed. Such an amount is a joke for the concentrated power of individual cents.

Not without us

"Not without us!" - that's how it usually sounds from the rooftops in a democracy when basic laws are changed, restrictions are imposed and freedoms are taken away. The WIRKRAFT However, it also conveys a completely different power. The power to say "no." No to products from world-powerful organizations that determine what a new normal should be. No to investors who castrate or drown a good idea through dependence. "Not without us" becomes "Not with us." Together, truly valuable goods at good prices can be realized. Together WE can turn quality and standard into actual maxims that add value for people.

Rudolf Diesel, in his book "Solidarism. Natural economic redemption of man", had already worked out in detail every smallest step for us more than 100 years ago. Contracts for the security of the individual, for protection against corruption, for common growth and for the realization of truly valuable ideas. At that time, his words were not heard. But perhaps after 100 years we have come so far that we can appreciate his work after all.

Rudolf Diesel had recognized early on that the key question was always how to finance good things. He himself had said at the time: "The fact that I invented the diesel engine is all well and good. But my main achievement is that I solved the social question."

Through a common daily cent, we are strong together, rich together.
